In the past, lime powder in metallurgy are discarded or used in other ways, it is a waste of natural resources. With the increasing shortage of natural resources, people pay more attention to the use of lime powder in metallurgy. Since 2002, institutions related to metallurgy have sharted to research this problem, and now this question has been solved. They use high pressure ball press machine to press the powdery material into ball or block for smelting. So far, Bao Steel, An steel and some steel mills abroad have put this machine into use.
Explanation of dry powder ball press machine:After being crushed, materials are directly sent to the machine without adding water, such as aluminum scrap, magnesium scrap, active carbon, aluminum oxide, quick lime. The purposes are to reduce stive, control bulk density, recycle it and improve transporting features. The design output is mainly for pellet material in Pijiangfa craft of magnesium melting.
Flow chart of dry powder ball press machine:After being screened, only the powder with a size less than 3mm can be sent into the ball press machine. The size of the pellets will be 35mm×25mm×15mm. With the requirement of client, we can produce ball press machine that can be make specific size of balls with a bulk density of 1.9-2.2g/cm and the hardness as that of a quick lime block. The finished products needs screening, only qualified ones can be stored and waits for being smelt.
